While I continue to coach leaders and align teams, a growing focus of my work is helping small and medium-sized companies prepare for expansion, structure for sustainability, and build the leadership capacity required to grow.

This evolution wasn’t planned, it emerged from the real needs of the organizations I’ve served. As trust deepened, so did the mandate: from coaching individuals to helping entire businesses move toward their next chapter.

Whether you’re leading a team through complexity or scaling a business into new markets, the challenges may vary but the goal remains the same: turning ambition into traction.

From Entrepreneur to Consultant

Entrepreneurship has always been in my DNA. I come from a family of business owners, my grandmother was one of the first women to run a travel agency in the 1950s, at a time when very few women led companies. I started my first business at age 25, and eventually sold it, an experience that taught me as much about value creation as it did about personal grit.

Since then, I’ve owned and operated several businesses across different sectors. That firsthand experience continues to shape how I advise others: not from theory, but from the perspective of someone who has taken risks, managed teams, weathered crises, and built from the ground up.

In the years leading up to the pandemic, I was running my marketing agency founded in 2009 after turning down acquisition offers. At the same time, I had begun exploring consulting engagements focused on business processes and coaching. I was testing the waters to see if management consulting was something I was not only good at, but also energized by.

Then in March 2020, everything shifted. Within a week, my agency lost 90% of its business as companies across sectors pulled back on marketing spend in response to global uncertainty. The experience brought back echoes of the DotCom bust, when I’d nearly gone under with my first business.

Yet in this moment of crisis, a new need emerged: organizations were suddenly looking for help managing remote teams, leading through ambiguity, and building clarity across distributed workforces. Having run a remote-first agency with a Results-Oriented Work Environment (ROWE) culture for years—collaborating with teams and clients across continents—I found myself well positioned to help.

That pivot became a turning point. What started as short-term support quickly evolved into long-term advisory and coaching relationships.

Supporting Leaders Across Contexts

Since 2020, I’ve worked with over 25 organizations: from public companies and government agencies to tech startups, law and accounting firms, entertainment companies, nonprofits, and small to mid-sized businesses across North America. Despite their differences in size and industry, these organizations all faced a common challenge: people working with people.

I’ve coached over 100 leaders and managers from first-time team leads to executives, and supported over 500 professionals through training and workshops. I’ve used psychometric tools to profile more than 300 team members, helping individuals better understand themselves and collaborate more effectively. My focus is always the same: enabling clarity, performance, and growth.

Whether I’m helping an executive better navigate complexity and stakeholder dynamics, or supporting a leadership team in aligning their goals and communication, the work is deeply human. The rewards lie in unlocking capacity and seeing others step into their potential.

Helping SMB Owners Scale with Confidence

In addition to coaching executives and leadership teams, a growing part of my work now focuses on supporting small and medium-sized business owners who are ready to scale up. These are often second-stage companies, established, profitable, and facing the question: how do we grow without losing control?

I help owners and founders gain clarity on what scaling actually means for them. That includes:

Strengthening operational readiness before expansion

Building business plans to support geographic growth or acquisitions

Clarifying and evolving their organizational structure

Identifying and developing future leaders to support succession planning

I currently support small and medium-sized businesses with $10M+ in annual revenue and over 40 employees, helping them navigate the complexities of scaling. I also occasionally work with ambitious founders scaling from $1M to $5M, where foundational decisions around structure, leadership, and systems are critical.

This type of work blends strategic thinking, leadership development, and organizational design. It also requires trust and candor, as we often touch foundational issues: delegation, control, culture, and ambition.

Some engagements last a few months, others unfold over multiple years as owners move from day-to-day management to long-term value creation.

Lessons from the Trenches

This expanded role, from consultant and coach to strategic advisor and growth partner, draws on every part of my professional background. My experience as a founder and investor gives me firsthand insight into the risks and constraints leaders face. The thousands of hours I’ve spent coaching, advising, and leading teams have sharpened my judgment across a range of contexts.

In recent years, I’ve added more structure to my work through tools like financial modeling, team assessments, strategic offsites, and growth planning workshops. My academic work in Organizational Behavior at Harvard continues to inform how I help clients navigate complex systems, shifting dynamics, and internal resistance to change.

Why This Work Matters

Whether I’m coaching a leader through a transition, aligning a team around a common mission, or helping an owner design their next phase of growth, the goal remains the same: clarity, capacity, and execution.

I believe strong organizations are built by strong leaders, and strong leaders are built, not born. The most effective ones are self-aware, disciplined, and clear on how to scale both themselves and their teams.

That’s the kind of leadership I work to enable every day.

If you’re a business owner, executive, or leadership team preparing for growth, and want a thought partner who brings both strategic depth and operational pragmatism, let’s talk.

Over the past few years, I’ve transitioned from agency founder to executive coach, management consultant, and increasingly, a strategic advisor to business owners looking to scale.
